Powered Paragliding Powered paragliding has been described by many to be the most free form of flight. There are very few regulations to follow (FAR Part 103), and you can learn to do it safely in only a few flights. Quality training in the beginning will make your flight experience safe and your solos more productive. Most student need anywhere from 7 to 10 hours of ground handling and instruction. The cheapest way to go from "Zero to Hero" is to buy a paragliding wing and take an 1-2 hour lesson, then practice what you learned in your lesson on your own with your wing. During your next lesson, you will need minimal ground instruction and can start to learn to fly. We charge $70.00/hour for instruction. All our lessons come complete with wings and motors for your solo. After you solo, additional flights on our equipment are charged at the same rate. If you're a paraglider coming to the area and don't want to bring your gear, sign up for a lesson and we'll take you our flying! |

Paragliding in Texas The Houston area or Texas in general is a great spot to learn or enjoy the sport of powered paragliding. There is plenty of fields or open beaches to launch from with steady winds and great views. The picture at left was taken flying in St. Petersburg FL. Texas sites are not only as beautiful as the locations in Florida, but they are less restrictive! Come down and learn to fly on the gulf coast of Texas.
