THE WIND IS BACK!!!
Finally the wind is back on the Texas coast; it came a little late this year but will hopefully bring a long and windy fall, winter, and spring season. To kick it off we’re doing a down wind ride followed by a night Ride TONIGHT (22oct10) at the Levee riding area in Texas city.
The Plan:
We will meet up at the Levee to car pool out to the end of the dike for a 6-7mi down-wind ride back to the Levee at dusk (leave levee at 5:45 pm). Following the ride we’ll be riding at the Levee until after dark. Please bring glow sticks, costumes, whatever you want to spice it up. Maybe if we make a good show the wind gods will bless us for the rest of the season 
Details:
Meet and load up at the at Levee at 5:45pm to mobilize for dusk down-wind ride. Drive and rig at the spot near the end of the dike. Finish at the Levee at dark or a little after and ride till we get sick of it. Use good judgement about your skill level; the ride is quite long so make sure you’re comfortable in deep water, have safe equipment, and most importantly have a buddy to keep an eye on you and vise versa. This is NOT an offical event of any kind; you are responsible for your own safety.
