…..SUNDAY Galveston Island ride…..
11am Skippers meeting at the East Beach Jetty
Everyone needs to find transportation back to East Beach from St Luis pass (leave cars at st Luis)
Camping Sunday night at St Luis bring tents, sleeping equipment, etc (I’ll bring the keg)
Don’t forget to bring water on the ride as well as safety equipment (impact vest, hook knife, dry bag cell phone, kite leash, etc)
Expect head-high surf (5-6ft) and side/side-on breeze from 15-17mph and plan accordingly
The side/side-on wind direction will make it somewhat difficult to ride directly down wind without some skillz…so bring em.
Don’t forget to stop by the SWAP meet today we already got some good stuff in from people.

i will be there, not to surf but bringing someone who will. would you guys like me to bring hot coffee for skippers meeting? or is that absurd…coffee on the beach?? lol. i own a coffeehouse…let me know. i can bring for 10-12 people. it will be a good jolt of energy.

Coastal flooding expected due to tropical storm. Forecasted Sunday nite to be 2.5 feet above average — park higher up. For San Luis:
Sat 10:26 PM. 2.4 feet.
Sun 11:03 PM. 3.8 feet.
Mon 11:28 PM. 1.4 feet.

Done, coffee is never absurd. It is the life-blood of all great Americans! Yes, head down east beach drive past the boliver ferry turn off until is dead-ends then take a right. Head all the way down there and you should be able to get out on the beach and make it to the jetty area. Skippers meeting at 11am, ride starts at 1130 or so. Look forward to seeing you guys.
