Texas City is one of the best places on the planet to learn kitesurfing and kiteboarding. XLKITES has been helping to preserve and develop this dedicated Riding area along with others like Texas City Park and Recreation, Army Corp of Engineers, and the City of Texas City. Hurricane Ike actually made the Levee kiteboarding area a better place for beginners with a great sandy beach, grassy launch, and super shallow waters that extend from the beach up to a 1-2 miles offshore!!

I weigh 125 lbs and am 5′ 8″ althletic build. I would like to learn how to kite surf.
